Quest School is a school for learners with Autism, situated on the corner of
Randal
and
Hoy
Street
in
South
 End,
Port
Elizabeth
(formerly
known
 as
Cunningham
School).
The
project
 was
initiated
by
the
Department
of
 Public
Works
in
conjunction
with
the
 Department
of
Education
in
2006.
 The
original
project
brief
called
for
a
 new
hostel
as
well
as
renovations
to
 the
existing
school.
The
existing
 school
is
a
historically
sensitive
 building
and
as
such
the
new
hostel
 and
classrooms’
design
was
in
 keeping
with
the
historical
nature
of
 the
existing
buildings.
