CPD COURSES AND TRAINING

Arinda has three CPD accredited workshops. These are accredited by GIFA and hosted via CPD Central’s online platform.

The workshops are aimed at architectural professionals and runs for 6 hours online, with additional hours allowed for self-study. The courses are presented in the form of a workshop where Arinda presents a powerpoint, introducing the topic, give background information and then invites discussion around practical, real-life examples.

Feel free to reach out and inquiry about specific training for your staff.

INCLUSIVE DESIGN

To educate professionals in the range of disabilities and minority groups we need to design for, to highlight the challenges that these groups face on a daily basis that served as the driving force behind the SANS Part S documentation and design better solutions.

DESIGNING FOR CLINICS AND HEALTHCARE FACILITIES

The design of hospitals and Primary Healthcare Facilities are governed by the R158. This is a legal document but seldom known or understood by architects and designers. There is a growing need to provide medical care facilities in SA (be it private or public) and designers should be fully informed of good practice and compliance.

DESIGNING MATERNITY CARE FACILITIES

You will explore the legal frameworks, best practices, and the role of the built environment in ensuring effective governance and compliance in medical care. The course will delve into the specifics of R158 regulations and the design considerations for a Maternity Obstetric Unit (MOU) at small clinics. Additionally, you will gain insight into the complete journey of an expectant mother, from ante-natal care through to delivery, post- natal care, and immunizations.
