This project is funded by the Department of Education and implemented by Department of Public Works. The existing school consisted of two very different building types: classroom buildings constructed of brick and existing timber framed buildings.
The project involved the repairs and renovations of all existing brick buildings (inclusive of upgrading of all services on the entire site) and the construction of new classrooms, a dedicated Grade R area, administration block, kitchen and covered dining area, sports fields, new ablution facilities, parking and an elevated bulk water tower.

The original architect and principal agent resigned from this project. BNM Architects were appointed as new principal agents and architects to complete the duties for the remainder of the project.
The project involves the construction of new classrooms, administration block, kitchen and covered dining area, sports fields, new ablution facilities, parking and an elevated bulk water tower.
No project is too big or too small. In 2018 Pearson High approached Arinda (an old scholar) to assist in the upgrading of their matric courtyard. The scope of work involved removing excessive and overgrown vegetation and provide a new stage for matric assembly as well as astroturf instead of the grass, relaying paving as well as additional outdoor seating.

Bergsig Special School appointed BNM in 2023 for the design of a new Pavilion located at the existing rugby field. The School is funding the project themselves.
The brief required the design to incorporate the existing tuck shop and seating. The ground floor includes two classrooms, public ablutions and two changerooms. First floor level includes ablutions, indoor braai facilities within an open area which leads directly onto a deck which faces directly onto the existing rugby field.
